Pence's goal is to produce wines that are steeped in traditional approaches, to give pleasure and have flavor. Their team is focused on producing the finest Burgundian-inspired wines made in the New World, as well as unique, cool climate Syrahs that are expressive of the great wines from the Northern Rhone. We will feature their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Their unique plot of land and interesting topography, make it ideal to grow Chardonnay and Pinot: "Within the 200-acre working ranch is the Pence Vineyard. Seen from above, it appears as an island on an elevated plateau, which has been slowly eroded over time on all sides and is thus fully exposed to merciless cold ocean winds, morning fog and other Pacific Ocean influences. It is this combination of stressful conditions that provides the character considered essential to making great wines from our location." Visit their website for more information: Pence Ranch.
In the effort of creating approachable events for as many wonderful people as possible to taste the great wine she has the fortunate opportunity to taste, we would like to offer complementary tastes! Come join us for Alice's first Friday Night Wine Event Friday April 3rd.
Should you wish to come in and try the lovely Pence Ranch wines made by Sashi Moorman, consider joining us for dinner. Eric Damon of Noble Vintners, Alice's Pence distributor, will walk about the dining room with bottles of Pence Ranch Chardonnay and Pinot Noir pouring tastes and chatting about the wine. We will have glasses available to Coravin should you wish to enjoy more than a taste.
