ABOUT US

Jordan and Alice Lloyd, both natives of Easton, Maryland, traveled the East Coast gaining the experiences that would later serve them at the Bartlett Pear Inn.  Jordan worked with Michel Richard at Citronelle, Thomas Keller at Per Se in NYC and with Christian Delouvrier at La Goulue in the Bal Harbour Shops in Miami.  Additionally, Jordan learned European-style service at Auberge du Soileil in Hilton Head, South Carolina and The Four Seasons in Washington DC.  Having achieved so many extraordinary experiences, Jordan and Alice felt their hometown of Easton was the place to settle down and raise a family.

In 2009, Jordan and Alice set their sights on the historic inn on 28 South Harrison Street in Easton. After many years of laborious love, Bartlett Pear Inn is now the premier dining bed and breakfast establishment on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Bartlett Pear Inn has been ranked #1 by Trip Advisor for the Restaurant and the Inn since its opening.  Zagat has rated Bartlett Pear Inn a 28 out of 30 for cuisine.  Bartlett Pear has acquired a national reputation by Open Table, ranking among the Top 100 American Fare Restaurants in the Country.  In 2014, Bartlett Pear made the list of Washingtonians Top 25 Restaurants. The Washington Post’s nationally recognized food writer, TOM SIESTMA, says “…Lloyd has the chops to back up his dream…”  The Baltimore Sun's Food Critic, Richard Gorelick recently awarded Bartlett Pear 4.5 stars out of 5!

In May 2016, Chef Jordan had the distinct honor to represent Maryland Bounty at the James Beard House.

In September 2016, after 8 years in the nighttime restaurant business, Bartlett Pear has moved into a different era.  Join the Pear for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and selected special events in the evenings.  Bartlett Pear is now available for Private Bookings.
