Jordan and Alice Lloyd, both natives of Easton, Maryland, traveled the East Coast gaining the experiences that would later serve them at the Bartlett Pear Inn.  Jordan worked with the late Michel Richard at Citronelle in Washington DC, Thomas Keller at Per Se in NYC and with Christian Delouvrier at La Goulue in the Bal Harbour Shops in Miami.  Additionally, Jordan learned European-style service at Auberge du Soileil in Hilton Head, South Carolina and The Four Seasons in Washington DC.  Having achieved so many extraordinary experiences, Jordan and Alice felt their hometown of Easton was the place to settle down and raise a family.  

In 2009, Jordan and Alice set their sights on the historic inn on 28 South Harrison Street in Easton. After many years of laborious love, Bartlett Pear Inn became the premier dining bed and breakfast establishment on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

After years of highlighting the local flavor on the Eastern Shore, Chef Jordan had the distinct honor to represent Maryland Bounty at the James Beard House in May 2016. 

In September 2016, Jordan and Alice said so long to the restaurant portion of their business and Alice now operates their full service Bed and Breakfast in the heart of their hometown, historic downtown Easton, Maryland.  Come Discover Easton, Talbot County and our picturesque town from the comfort of the premier bed and breakfast establishment on the Eastern Shore.
